Business Owner

Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to have an unique business idea to start a business. But you do need a great strategic partnership, particularly in an early stage. That is exactly what my husband and I did in 2006 when we started a travel agency. The decision was to find an up-and-coming Auckland based travel company interested in expanding their business. Our partner First Light Travel was looking for opportunities to open Russian and CIS markets. So, after a couple of meetings with them, we set up a partnership that is still alive and well. This partnership enabled us to build our own business and achieve sustainable growth. I don’t have a job title at my company, but as you may guess, I’m in charge of everything that has to do with marketing, and I love it πŸ™‚
